   Pre-chill one heavy rocks glass, prepare one large clear ice cube, and lightly dust one small thin lemon wheel with chile-lime seasoning.

   Measure the rye whiskey, chili liqueur, fresh lemon juice, cinnamon syrup, and aromatic bitters into a clean shaker.

   Fill the shaker three-quarters full with solid cold ice and seal it firmly.

   Shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until the spicy rye sour is very cold and properly diluted.

   Fine-strain into the chilled rocks glass over the single large clear ice cube.

   Clip the single lightly seasoned lemon wheel at the rim and serve without another garnish.
