Garnish: No garnish

   Chill the highball thoroughly and prepare the No garnish before mixing.

   Measure sherry, pineapple juice, rye whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup, aromatic bitters, soda water accurately and add them to a clean cocktail shaker.

   Fill the shaker about three-quarters full with solid ice cubes and seal it firmly.

   Shake hard with ice for 10–15 seconds and fine-strain into the prepared glass.

   Fine-strain into the chilled highball so no small ice fragments reach the drink.

   Finish with No garnish and serve immediately while very cold.
