Garnish: A restrained black-sea-salt half-rim and one small lime wheel

   Chill a double old-fashioned glass, prepare one large clear ice cube, and cut one small thin lime wheel.

   Moisten only half of the upper rim with a lime wedge, coat that section lightly with fine black sea salt, and place the cube in the glass.

   Measure the blanco tequila, blanche Armagnac, spiced pear liqueur, lime juice, rich cane syrup, and saline solution into a shaker.

   Fill the shaker with solid ice and shake vigorously for 10 to 12 seconds until thoroughly chilled.

   Fine strain into the prepared glass over the single large cube without disturbing the restrained salt rim.

   Place exactly one small lime wheel at the unsalted side of the rim and serve immediately.
