   Pre-chill one heavy rocks glass, ready fresh cubed ice, and cut exactly one very short narrow orange zest twist.

   Measure the reposado tequila, dry curaçao, triple sec, mezcal, cranberry juice, lime juice, and saline into a shaker.

   Fill the shaker about three-quarters full with solid cold ice and close it securely.

   Shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until the red mixture is very cold and properly diluted.

   Fill the chilled rocks glass with fresh clear cubed ice and strain the cocktail over it.
