   Chill the highball, prepare fresh serving ice, and prepare the Whole cloves and a few dashes of orange bitters.

   Measure white rum, falernum, grapefruit juice, lime juice, dark rum, orange bitters accurately before opening any carbonated ingredient.

   Add the non-carbonated ingredients directly to the chilled highball.

   Combine the liquid ingredients in the chilled highball, add crushed ice and swizzle until cold, then mound more crushed ice above the drink.

   Check the fill level and give one gentle lift with a bar spoon without over-diluting the drink.

   Finish with Whole cloves and a few dashes of orange bitters and serve immediately.
