   Chill the cocktail thoroughly and prepare the One drop of food-grade castor oil floated on the cocktail before mixing.

   Measure london dry gin, maraschino liqueur, creme de violette, lemon juice accurately and add them to a clean mixing glass.

   Fill the mixing glass with solid ice cubes and place a bar spoon against the inside wall.

   Stir with solid ice until very cold and properly diluted, then fine-strain into the chilled glass.

   Strain into the chilled cocktail, keeping the finished drink clear of ice fragments.

   Finish with One drop of food-grade castor oil floated on the cocktail and serve immediately at its coldest.
