   Pre-chill one clear coupe, moisten only the outside edge with lemon juice, and apply one very fine even white salt rim.

   Measure 45 ml vodka, 22.5 ml triple sec, 15 ml fresh lemon juice, 5 ml rich simple syrup, and 7.5 ml chilled water into a shaker.

   Fill the shaker about three-quarters full with solid cold ice and seal it firmly.

   Shake hard for 10–12 seconds until the drink is thoroughly chilled and balanced.

   Fine-strain into the center of the chilled coupe without disturbing the fine salt rim.

   Serve immediately with the salt rim as the only garnish; add no citrus, fruit, herb, or straw.
