   Chill the cocktail thoroughly, confirm that no garnish is required, and ready the shaker.

   Measure apricot brandy, orange juice, orange bitters accurately and add them to a clean cocktail shaker.

   Fill the shaker about three-quarters full with solid ice cubes and seal it firmly.

   Chill a V-shaped cocktail glass thoroughly, add the apricot brandy, fresh orange juice, and two measured dashes of orange bitters to a shaker filled with solid ice, shake firmly for 10–15 seconds until very cold, fine-strain into the chilled glass, let any coarse bubbles settle, and serve without garnish.

   Fine-strain into the chilled cocktail so no small ice fragments reach the drink.

   Serve immediately without a garnish while the drink is at its best.
