   Pre-chill a clear coupe and apply a narrow vanilla-salt half-rim to the outside edge.

   Place exactly two dried green cardamom pods in the shaker and muddle them firmly to crack and release their aroma.

   Add the white rum, fresh lime juice, vanilla syrup, and red bitter liqueur to the shaker.

   Fill with solid ice and shake firmly for 10 to 15 seconds until thoroughly cold.
