   Pre-chill a clear Nick and Nora glass and cut exactly one very narrow short strip of lemon zest.

   Measure the blended Scotch, triple sec, fresh lemon juice, and the optional rich syrup and saline into a shaker.

   Fill the shaker with solid ice and seal it securely.

   Shake firmly for 10 to 15 seconds until the drink is cold and the citrus is integrated.

   Fine-strain into the chilled Nick and Nora so no ice fragments enter the drink.
