   Warm a single heat-safe toddy mug with hot water, discard that water, and cut one small thin lemon wheel.

   Measure the Japanese whisky, amontillado sherry, smoky single-malt Scotch, and oolong tea syrup into a mixing glass.

   Stir the spirit mixture briefly without ice so the syrup is fully incorporated.

   Pour the combined spirit mixture into the warmed toddy mug.

   Add 120 milliliters of freshly boiling water and stir gently once or twice to combine.

   Place exactly one small lemon wheel at the rim and serve carefully while hot.
