   Chill a Nick and Nora glass and cut one short thin grapefruit twist for expressing only.

   Measure the vodka, fino sherry, demerara rum, passion-fruit liqueur, and cinnamon syrup into a mixing glass.

   Fill the mixing glass with solid ice and place a bar spoon against the inside wall.

   Stir smoothly for 20 to 25 seconds until the drink is very cold and properly diluted.

   Strain into the chilled Nick and Nora glass, keeping the drink clear of ice fragments.

   Express the grapefruit twist over the surface, discard the peel, and serve with no retained garnish.
