   Measure vodka, apple brandy, coffee liqueur accurately and add them to a clean mixing glass.

   Fill the mixing glass with solid ice cubes and place a bar spoon against the inside wall.

   Pre-chill a coupe, combine the vodka, apple brandy, and coffee liqueur in a mixing glass with solid ice, stir for 20–25 seconds until very cold and evenly diluted, fine-strain into the chilled glass, verify that the liquid remains clear and still, and serve without garnish.

   Strain into the chilled coupe, keeping the finished drink clear of ice fragments.

   Serve immediately without a garnish while the drink is at its best.
