   Chill the coupe thoroughly, confirm that no garnish is required, and ready the shaker.

   Measure vodka, irish cream, coffee liqueur, espresso accurately and add them to a clean cocktail shaker.

   Fill the shaker about three-quarters full with solid ice cubes and seal it firmly.

   Pre-chill a coupe and let the fresh espresso cool briefly, add the vodka, Irish cream liqueur, coffee liqueur, and espresso to a shaker filled with solid ice, shake hard for 10–15 seconds until very cold and finely aerated, fine-strain into the chilled coupe, let the restrained tan foam settle evenly, and serve without garnish.

   Fine-strain into the chilled coupe so no small ice fragments reach the drink.

   Serve immediately without a garnish while the drink is at its best.
