   Pre-chill a clear flute, prepare exactly one small ripe physalis with its papery husk peeled back, and refrigerate the Champagne.

   Pour the Cognac, apricot liqueur, and freshly squeezed orange juice into the empty chilled flute.

   Tilt the flute slightly and pour the cold brut Champagne slowly down the inside wall; never shake the carbonated wine.

   Straighten the flute as it fills and stop below the rim so the fine foam remains controlled.

   Give one very gentle lift with a bar spoon to combine the base without flattening the bubbles.

   Set the single prepared physalis neatly at the rim and serve immediately without any other garnish.
