   Chill the rocks thoroughly, confirm that no garnish is required, and ready the shaker.

   Measure apple brandy, apricot brandy, gin, orange juice, grenadine accurately and add them to a clean cocktail shaker.

   Fill the shaker about three-quarters full with solid ice cubes and seal it firmly.

   Chill a rocks glass and fill it with fresh clear cubed ice. Add the apple brandy, apricot brandy, gin, and fresh orange juice to a shaker with solid ice, shake firmly for 10–15 seconds, strain over the prepared ice, pour the grenadine slowly down the inside of the glass so it settles into a restrained red base, and serve without garnish.

   Fine-strain into the chilled rocks so no small ice fragments reach the drink.

   Serve immediately without a garnish while the drink is at its best.
