   Pre-chill one clear highball glass, halve one lime and cut that half into eight thin half-moons, halve one kiwi, and prepare one short plain wooden stirrer.

   Place the lime pieces and three barspoons caster sugar in a robust mixing glass, then muddle until the juice is released and sugar dissolved.

   Add the half kiwi and muddle again until its flesh is broken down, then transfer the fruit mixture to the chilled highball.

   Rinse the mixing glass with 60 ml freezer-cold cachaça, pour it into the highball, and add 15 ml cloudy apple juice plus 5 ml anise liqueur.

   Stir thoroughly, add four or five cracked ice cubes, stir again, and top with more cracked ice below the rim.

   Insert the single wooden stirrer and serve without a straw, fruit garnish, sugarcane, or herbs.
