   Pre-chill one clear rocks glass, reserve one small basil leaf for garnish, and tear the remaining four basil leaves.

   Muddle six seedless green grapes in the base of a shaker until their juice is fully released.

   Add 45 ml vodka, 15 ml fresh lime juice, 15 ml ginger liqueur, 7.5 ml rich simple syrup, the four torn basil leaves, and solid cold ice.

   Shake hard for 10–12 seconds, then fine-strain into the chilled rocks glass over fresh clear cubed ice.

   Pour 15 ml chilled soda water over the drink and stir once briefly without flattening the carbonation.

   Set the single reserved basil leaf neatly at the rim and serve without grapes, citrus, or another garnish.
