   Chill the coupe thoroughly, confirm that no garnish is required, and ready the shaker.

   Measure bourbon, white sugar, aromatic bitters, triple sec, creme de menthe accurately and add them to a clean cocktail shaker.

   Fill the shaker about three-quarters full with solid ice cubes and seal it firmly.

   Pre-chill a coupe. Add the bourbon, superfine sugar, one dash of aromatic bitters, triple sec, and white crème de menthe to a shaker with solid ice. Shake firmly for 10–15 seconds until the sugar is dissolved and the drink is very cold, fine-strain into the chilled coupe, verify the surface is clean, and serve without garnish.

   Fine-strain into the chilled coupe so no small ice fragments reach the drink.
