   Chill a single old-fashioned glass and confirm that the finished drink is served neat without garnish.

   Add the absinthe to the chilled glass, rotate it to coat the entire interior, and discard every excess drop.

   Measure the apple brandy, Irish whiskey, honey syrup, three dashes of Peychaud's bitters, and one dash of aromatic bitters into a mixing glass.

   Fill the mixing glass with solid ice and stir smoothly for 20 to 25 seconds until very cold.
