   Pre-chill one clear heavy old-fashioned glass, prepare one large clear cube, and select exactly one small clean walnut half.

   Measure 60 ml brandy, 15 ml Pedro Ximénez sherry, 15 ml mandarin liqueur, and 7.5 ml walnut liqueur into a mixing glass.

   Fill the mixing glass about three-quarters full with solid cold ice.

   Stir steadily until the dark mixture is thoroughly chilled, integrated, and properly diluted.

   Set the large clear cube in the chilled glass and strain the cocktail cleanly over it.

   Balance the single walnut half securely on the rim and serve without citrus, cherry, or another garnish.
