   Pre-chill one clear coupe and cut exactly one very short narrow orange zest twist.

   Measure the blended Scotch, peated single malt, sweet vermouth, walnut liqueur, PX sherry, and barrel-aged bitters into a mixing glass.

   Fill the mixing glass with solid cold ice and place a bar spoon against the inside wall.

   Stir smoothly for 20–25 seconds until the dark aromatic mixture is very cold and properly diluted.

   Fine-strain into the chilled coupe without transferring any small ice fragments.
