   Chill a coupe thoroughly, then place a little cocoa powder on a small flat plate.

   Moisten only the outside edge of the coupe with orange juice and apply a thin, even cocoa rim.

   Measure the reposado tequila, lime juice, dark creme de cacao, rich syrup, and coffee liqueur into a shaker.

   Fill the shaker with solid ice and shake hard for 10–15 seconds until thoroughly chilled.

   Fine-strain into the prepared coupe without wetting or disturbing the cocoa rim.

   Add no further garnish, check that the rim remains tidy, and serve immediately.
