   Pre-chill one heavy rocks glass, prepare fresh clear cubed ice, separate ten mint leaves, and select one compact mint sprig.

   Place the ten mint leaves in a shaker and press them very gently once or twice to release aroma without shredding them.

   Add the bourbon, fresh lemon juice, rich simple syrup, and solid cold ice to the shaker.

   Shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until the sour is very cold and the mint aroma is integrated.

   Fine-strain into the chilled rocks glass filled with fresh clear ice so no mint fragments reach the drink.

   Place the single compact mint sprig upright at the rim and serve without citrus or another garnish.
