   Pre-chill one rocks glass and prepare one narrow orange zest twist.

   Measure the bourbon, maple syrup, bacon fat wash, aromatic bitters, and saline into a mixing glass.

   Stir without ice until the maple syrup is fully dissolved.

   Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir until cold and properly diluted.

   Place one large clear ice cube in the chilled rocks glass.

   Strain over the cube, express the orange zest over the surface, and place the twist neatly on the rim.
