   Chill a Collins glass, prepare fresh clear ice, and select one compact mint sprig bouquet.

   Place the basil leaves in a shaker and muddle gently just enough to release their aroma.

   Add the gin, fresh lemon juice, rich syrup, creme de mure, and solid ice.

   Shake hard for 10–15 seconds until cold, then strain into the Collins glass over fresh ice.

   Keep the dark-purple drink and ice safely below the rim and add one short reusable straw.

   Place the compact mint bouquet neatly at the rim and serve immediately.
