Garnish: Exactly one compact mint sprig at the rim

   Chill one Collins glass and reserve exactly one compact mint sprig from the measured mint.

   Add the remaining twelve mint leaves, apple brandy, lime juice, apple liqueur, and rich syrup to the glass.

   Fill halfway with fine crushed ice and churn thoroughly from the bottom.

   Add more crushed ice to just below the rim.

   Top with cold sparkling apple juice and stir only once or twice.

   Set the single reserved mint sprig at the rim and serve without another garnish.
