   Pre-chill one classic V-shaped cocktail glass, cut one narrow lemon zest strip, and set exactly one small green olive on a plain wooden pick.

   Measure 60 ml freezer-cold vodka, 22.5 ml chilled amontillado sherry, and 7.5 ml rye whiskey into a mixing glass.

   Fill the mixing glass about three-quarters full with solid cold ice.

   Stir steadily until the mixture is very cold, integrated, and properly diluted.
