Garnish: Expressed lemon zest

1. 01

   Chill the coupe thoroughly and prepare the Expressed lemon zest before mixing.

   Measure rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, cherry liqueur, absinthe accurately and add them to a clean mixing glass.

   Fill the mixing glass with solid ice cubes and place a bar spoon against the inside wall.

   Rinse the chilled coupe with absinthe and discard the excess before stirring the remaining ingredients and straining them into the glass.

   Strain into the chilled coupe, keeping the finished drink clear of ice fragments.

6. 06

   Finish with Expressed lemon zest and serve immediately at its coldest.
