   Pre-chill one clear heavy rocks glass and prepare exactly one large clear ice cube; confirm that no garnish is required.

   Measure 30 ml each bourbon, amaro, and fino sherry with 5 ml coffee liqueur into a mixing glass.

   Fill the mixing glass with solid ice and place a bar spoon against the inside wall.

   Stir smoothly for 20–25 seconds until the dark amber drink is very cold and properly diluted.

   Place the single large clear cube in the chilled rocks glass and strain the cocktail over it without ice fragments.

   Serve immediately and completely ungarnished, with no citrus, cherry, herbs, or coffee beans.
