   Chill one clear Collins glass, cut two lime wedges for squeezing, and prepare exactly two very thin short cucumber ribbons.

   Squeeze both lime wedges into the base of the glass and press them briefly to release the juice, then remove the spent wedges.

   Fill the glass with neat clear ice cubes and pour in 40 ml herbal liqueur.

   Top slowly with 70 ml chilled ginger beer; do not shake the carbonated mixer.

   Stir gently from the bottom only once or twice to combine without flattening the ginger beer.

   Tuck the two compact cucumber ribbons just inside the rim and serve without retaining lime or adding another garnish.
