   Chill the coupe thoroughly, confirm that no garnish is required, and ready the shaker.

   Measure apricot brandy, dry vermouth, gin, lemon juice accurately and add them to a clean cocktail shaker.

   Fill the shaker about three-quarters full with solid ice cubes and seal it firmly.

   Pre-chill a coupe, measure equal parts apricot brandy, dry vermouth, and gin with the quarter-teaspoon portion of fresh lemon juice into a shaker filled with solid ice, shake firmly for 10–15 seconds until very cold, fine-strain into the chilled coupe, let coarse bubbles settle, and serve without garnish.

   Fine-strain into the chilled coupe so no small ice fragments reach the drink.

   Serve immediately without a garnish while the drink is at its best.
