   Chill a Collins glass, prepare one thin lime wheel, and keep the ginger beer cold and unopened until needed.

   Measure the reposado tequila, lime juice, rich syrup, and aromatic bitters into a shaker; do not add the ginger beer.

   Add solid ice and shake hard for 10–15 seconds until very cold.

   Fill the Collins glass with fresh cubed ice.

   Strain the shaken mixture into the glass while slowly pouring in the ginger beer, then lift once gently with a bar spoon to combine without losing carbonation.

   Place the lime wheel securely on the rim and serve immediately.
