   Chill a heavy rocks glass and a petite Champagne sidecar glass; prepare one compact grapefruit twist.

   Measure the red bitter aperitif, gin, sweet vermouth, and coconut liqueur into a mixing glass.

   Fill with solid ice and stir for 20–25 seconds until very cold and properly diluted.

   Place one large clear cube in the rocks glass and strain the cocktail over it.

   Express the grapefruit twist over the drink and retain it neatly at the rim.

   Pour the chilled Champagne into the separate petite sidecar and serve both glasses together.
