   Chill a double rocks glass and cut one fresh lemon peel for expressing later.

   Add the peated Scotch to the glass, rotate it to coat the inner wall, then discard the excess completely.

   Measure the Irish whiskey, elderflower liqueur, and orange bitters into a mixing glass.

   Add solid ice and stir smoothly for 20–25 seconds until very cold and properly diluted.

   Strain into the empty Scotch-rinsed glass without adding ice.

   Express the lemon oils over the surface, discard the peel, and serve with no garnish.
