   Chill a Collins glass, prepare fresh clear ice, and cut one thin apple slice.

   Measure the apple cider, rye whiskey, reposado tequila, and honey syrup into a shaker.

   Add solid ice and shake hard for 10–15 seconds until thoroughly cold.

   Fill the chilled Collins glass with fresh clear cubed ice.

   Strain the shaken mixture into the glass while pouring in the ginger soda so the drink combines without losing its bubbles.

   Stir once gently, add the single thin apple slice at the rim, and serve immediately.
